Wild Fire Emergency Response

In 2009 PowerClear Emergency Response crews responded to a wild fire on Smith Street, Gaven.

RoadTek closed Smith Street for one night while PowerClear’s felling crews worked with the fire brigade to remove the dangerous trees. Trees that had been affected by the fire bordering on Smith Street were assessed for structural stability by PowerClear’s Arborists. Those deemed unsafe were identified for removal.

The crews and equipment used included 5 x Level 3 Advanced Tree Felling Employees, an 18-inch Wood Chipper Unit and Truck and Posi-Track Skid Steer Loaders.
